Bartnews is built on the contributions of independent journalists, analysts, and domain experts who care about the quality of public information. We welcome story pitches, investigative submissions, and opinion pieces from credentialed contributors across all of our coverage areas.
We publish original reporting, long-form analysis, data-driven investigations, and informed commentary. We do not publish press releases, brand-sponsored content disguised as journalism, or pieces that advocate for specific commercial products. Every submission is evaluated purely on editorial merit.
All submissions must be original and unpublished. We require at least two verifiable sources for factual claims. Opinions must be clearly distinguished from reporting. Authors are expected to disclose any conflicts of interest relevant to their submission. We conduct fact-checking on all accepted pieces before publication.
Our editorial team reviews pitches within five business days. If your pitch is accepted, you'll work with an assigned editor through the drafting and revision process. Final editorial decisions rest with our editors, including decisions about headlines, images, and publication timing. We pay competitive rates for published contributions.
